The Mayline parallel bars are one of the best made. Every Mayline straightedge rule starts with a durable black phenolic laminate plastic base with inset transparent blade. The drafting bar literally floats across the drawing surface with retractable metal or Delrin ball-bearing rollers built into the base. The steel rollers are recommended for vellum and the Delrin for film. The straightedges come in standard, EZ Grip, and Armoredge for drawing & cutting applications.
